Gabe Stone Shayer
started dancing at the age of 3 in Philadelphia and by the age of 6 he already knew he wanted to be a dancer. He trained at Philadanco, Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center, Koresh Dance Company and The Rock School. When Gabe was 15 years old, he moved to Russia to join the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and graduated in 2011, becoming the first African American male to graduate from the institution in its nearly 250-year history. In 2012 Gabe joined American Ballet Theatre and since then he has performed vastly with the company, doing leading roles in many shows. Gabe Stone Shayer was promoted to soloist at ABT in September of 2020.
