Gregor Glocke

born in Munich from a German mother and a West African father, grew up in Germany and started ballet classes in a small town in Bavaria at age 4. He trained at Staatsopern Ballett Nürnberg for 7 years while also training at Ballett Förderzentrum Nürnberg, where he studied 4 years longer. In 2012, Gregor joined the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin and graduated in 2017, soon after he started working professionally with the prestigious Staatsballett Berlin.

Gregor Gloke has been dancing for almost all his life and has had the chance to perform great ballets by renowned choreographers. While a student he performed Far (excerpt) by Wayne McGregor, All Long Dem Day by Marco Goecke, Concierto Madrigal by Nacho Duato, 6 Dances by Jirí Kyliàn, Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3 by Uwe Scholz. Since he became part of the Staatsballett Berlin he has performed numerous ballets, including The Second Detail by William Forsythe, Half Life by Sharon Eyal, Oval by Richard Siegal, Theme and Variations and Jewels by George Balanchine, Swan Lake and Giselle by Patrice Bart, The Nutcracker (Arabian dance) by Vasily Medvedev & Yuri Burlaka, Pierrot Lunaire by Marco Goecke, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Romeo & Juliet by Nacho Duato, Don Quixote by Víctor Ullate.
