Joshua Lamar

was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and was 8 years old when he started dancing. Joshua spent a lot of time training and growing his craft, he has many schools to list and thank for his growth. These schools include Monica Guys School of Dance (2001-2003), Otis Sallid’s Conservatory (2004-2006), Charter High School for The Arts Multimedia & Performing (CHAMPS, 2007-2008/2009-2011) where he graduated in 2011 and Hamilton High School (2008-2009). He also trained at the renowned Debbie Allen Dance Academy (2009-2012), Alonzo King Lines Summer Intensive (2011), Perry Mansfield (Summer 2012), University of the Arts (2012-2013), and Dance Theatre Of Harlem in their Professional Training Program (2013-2015).

As a professional, Joshua Lamar  has performed with dance companies and with traveling Broadway companies. He performed Memoria with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, was a company artist with Collage Dance Collective of Memphis, TN (2014-2016) and Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre of Chicago (2016-Present). He also danced with Holland America Cruise Line (2017-2018), An American In Paris (2018), and West Side Story (2019).
