Mariana Gonçalves

is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and began dancing at the age of 4. Working very hard, she trained at Ballet Dalal Achcar, Studio Talento e Arte, and Balletarrj Escola de Dança. Professionally, her resume is very diverse.  She moved to the USA and trained at Dance Theater of Harlem Professional Training Program in 2014-2015. During her time in the USA, she attended a summer intensive at the American Academy of Ballet, in New York CIty. She also competed at YAGP in 2015 and to other ballet competitions in Orlando, Florida, New York City and Argentina.  

Mariana has danced professionally with Companhia Brasileira de Ballet (2015-2018), Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro (2017-2018) and Joburg Ballet in South Africa (2018-2019).

Mariana has an array of repertoire she has performed throughout her career. With Companhia Brasileira de Ballet, she performed Paquita, Giselle, Swan Lake, Walpurgis Night and The Nutcracker. With Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, she performed Coppelia and Swan Lake. With Joburg Ballet, she performed Giselle and Wakanda (by Kitty Phetla). She has also performed Les Sylphides with DTH Professional Division Program and Gira (by Rafael Gomes).
